This group is set up to students in both Women's Studies and Sexuality Studies, who wish to engage with other students in these disciplines, as well, open to any students in any discipline at York University interested in topics of gender and sexuality. The purpose of USSA is to provide a "positive space" for undergraduate and graduate students to promote personal, political academic and social awareness about queer and women issues on and off campus and to connect and communicate with other members. The club recognizes and promotes the social activism and research undergraduates do, and are inclusive to all members of the York community. The club aims to provide a support system for the undergraduate Women and Sexuality Studies community and to elevate visibility and interaction of the community and other visible undergraduate student groups on campus.
